JENNIFER Lopez has come out with a brand new movie to accompany her recent album, but fans aren’t thrilled with the outcome.

The 16-track album features artists like rapper Latto and marks her first full-length album in a decade.

The film to go alongside the music features a host of famous faces in fun cameo roles, including her husband Ben Affleck, Post Malone, Keke Palmer, Sofia Vergara, Fat Joe, and Jane Fonda.

The high-production movie has a full storyline inspired by J-Lo’s life, as the songs from the album are woven around it.

Her film also features the 1973 movie The Way We Were featuring Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand.

According to EW, JLo included the movie because it had a special place in her relationship with Ben when they first dated in 2002.

Jennifer said: “That’s one of mine and Ben’s favorite movies.

“We watched it 20 years ago. I actually showed it to him when we were together last time.”

JLo was shown in her movie weeping while watching the classic flick.

NOT A FAN

In a Reddit thread dedicated to movies, a viewer posed a review and other critics continued to slam the artist’s new project.

One said: “This is the longest, most boring, narcissistic music video I have ever seen.”

“I had to turn it off…..so embarrassed for her!” added another.

A third wrote: “I feel bad for her really. All the money/fame in the world and so deeply deeply insecure.

“Not being catty when saying this but please get a therapist and work through your issues. You’re worthy of truly loving yourself.”

Someone else commented: “The money she spent on this overindulgent production of nonsense could have been used to help those in need.

“She is obsessed with being adored. It is only going to get worse as she continues to age.”

GETTING LOW

J-Lo’s comeback had a shockingly low reception upon its debut.

On Spotify, many of the tracks have not surpassed 40,000 streams and lack any chart-topping singles aside from Can’t Get Enough, which has four million streams.

After that, the dropoff is massive, with no other song on the album crossing 1 million streams.

On the visual album, The Guardian wrote: “It’s not the act of raw honesty it thinks it is and it’s certainly not a successful visual album; Lopez’s new songs all sound hopelessly middle-of-the-road…”

On the album itself, the X, formerly known as Twitter, page Pop Stuff posted: “Jennifer Lopez’s comeback album ‘This Is Me…Now’ debuted with 14k streams on Spotify.

“It became the lowest-debuting album by any main pop artist in history on the platform.”

One fan commented: “Her career is over why is she flopping like I’m genuinely concerned.”

Another wrote: “This is insanely embarrassing omg.”

A third wrote: “Our fave Jloot is sooooo over.”

“This is embarrassing bye,” wrote a fourth.

The album comes 22 years after she released This Is Me… Then, her third studio album during her initial romance with her now-husband Affleck.

The power couple eventually split before reuniting and officially tying the knot in 2022.
