JOHN Tucker Must Die actors Sophia Bush, Jesse Metcalfe, and Arielle Kebbel have reunited 18 years later as news of a sequel has surfaced.
Jesse shared a photo with Sophia and Arielle on Instagram, revealing the big news.
John wore a pair of black sunglasses and grinned at the camera while flanked by both actresses.
Theyw each wore an embroidered sweater featuring a John Tucker Must Die logo.
It featured five of the movie’s main leads on the front along with the text underneath.
“The John Tucker Must Die (partial) Reunion @epiccons didn’t disappoint! Such a pleasure reconnecting with these two lovely ladies. @sophiabush @ariellekebbel,” he captioned the photo.
It immediately prompted fans to respond asking for a sequel.
“I remember that movie!” one wrote.
“It’s been a while since I’ve seen it. However, still a classic and I’m definitely re watching again this week. This reunion is kind of insane ! Will we get a possible sequel?”
Jesse replied to the fan with a cheeky answer.
“It’s possible. I hear a script has been written…” he wrote.
Jesse also told Elite Daily that a script “has been written,” but clarified that he had not read it.
There has yet to be an announcement for an official sequel just yet.
Jesse had insisted when he attended the meetup with his fellow actors that he was going to “find out” where the script was at in the process.
The original film is about a teen basketball star named John Tucker who has been secretly dating three girls at once.
The jilted three girls decide to ask another unpopular girl at their school to teach him a lesson.
CHANGING FACES
Actor Penn Badgley also played a role in John Tucker Must Die.
Penn is now best known for his role as Joe Goldberg in the Netflix series You.
He played the role of Scott Tucker in John Tucker Must Die.
Scott was the younger brother of the titular John.
In the 2006 film, he wore his dark hair a bit curlier and down around his shoulders.
After snagging that role, he went on to play Dan Humphrey in Gossip Girl.
PENN’S POWER PLAY
You has been a big vehicle for Penn after his previous starring roles.
The popular series ran for six seasons before coming to an end in 2012.
The psychological thriller – which is one of the most-watched shows on the platform – follows serial killer Joe and his strange obsessions with the women he meets.
The show, even with its most recent season, has not veered away from its attempts to get viewers to sympathize with Joe.
His personal life has been as successful as his career as of late.
Penn married singer Domino Kirke in 2017.
The pair has a 4-year-old son together named James.
Penn is also step-father to Domino’s 15-year-old son Cassius.
