FANS of Beetlejuice no longer have to wait that long to watch its long-anticipated sequel in the cinemas.
The Tim Burton-directed and Brad Pitt-producedfilm is slated to hit the silver screen in late 2024.

When does Beetlejuice 2 come out?
The Beetlejuice sequel titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is scheduled to be shown in theaters on September 6, 2024.
According to director Tim Burton, he wasn’t initially planning on making a sequel, but he still kept brainstorming ideas for it over the years.
“We talked about lots of different things,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “That was early on when we were going, Beetlejuice and the Haunted Mansion, Beetlejuice Goes West, whatever. Lots of things came up.”
It wasn’t until he thought of making Winona Ryder’s Lydia character, her daughter, and her stepmother, the center of the story.
“I so identified with the Lydia character, but then you get to all these years later, and you take your own journey, going from cool teenager to lame adult, back and forth again,” Burton explained.
“That made it emotional, gave it a foundation. So that was the thing that really truly got me into it.”
What is Beetlejuice 2 about?
Tim Burton refused to supply any more details about the plot of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, but one thing’s for sure, it will kickstart with the death of a character.
“That’s all I will say,” he said. “There’s something that happens that sets things in motion.”
Meanwhile, Michael Keaton, who’s reprising his role as Beetlejuice, told People that fans can expect the film not to involve much CGI.
“The one thing that he [Burton] and I decided on early, early, early on from the beginning, if we ever did it again, I was totally not interested in doing something where there was too much technology,” he said. “It had to feel handmade.”
“What made it fun was watching somebody in the corner actually holding something up for you, to watch everybody in the shrunken head room and say, ‘Those are people under there, operating these things, trying to get it right.'”
